There are specially designed vantage points to give you a grand sweeping view of the Sahyadri Organic Tea factory housed in a beautiful white-washed building in Peermade. Take a trip to this factory, see how tea is processed, and pick up pouches of aromatic tea leaves as a souvenir for your friends back home. Periyar National Park

is the Major attraction of Thekkedy. This park is famous for its Tiger and Elephant reserve. It homes over 35 species of mammals, 265 species of Birds and 45 species of Reptiles. It is located in the Cradamom Hills of idukki District. Kumili which is just 4 Km far away is also an important destination.
